julia & eduardo.

have you seen a prouder brother before? i don’t think so… gorgeous little eduardo, the sweetest soul, absolutely adores his new little sister, julia. i was so happy to meet this little family, who are temporarily living in umhlanga, away from home in brazil. from the first time i spoke to their mom, elida, on the phone, i could tell that this family were going to be a treat. so gentle and calm, it was a breeze capturing little julia who has definitely taken after her mom’s sweet character, and didn’t even squirm or cry once! she certainly enjoyed being out in the sunshine, as did her big brother, showing off his ball skills and picking flowers for me in the garden!

the killians.

with our second try at the killian family shoot being another day of miz weather, the family decided we should still go for it and get what we could in the gorgeous botanic gardens on the berea in durban. robyn and ivan travelled all the way down the hill from nottingham road to spend an awesome morning with their kids, kaye-leigh & rhyne, and a few wet benches was not going to kill the mood. this family had an awesome sense of humour, and it was easy to catch a few candid moments.

in case it hasn’t been mentioned enough in the last month, natal has been received more rain than i can ever remember. so catching a day without drizzle is nearly impossible! luckily enough, the grey skies held back the rain long enough for chantel, angus and i to catch a few shots on umhlanga beach of her beautiful bump! this awesome couple are so excited for their little bundle to arrive in december, and they are going to make the most precious parents!

the marlins.

meet the marlins! this awesome family were full of fun, and the kids were just too cute. the troops gathered at beechwood beach on a gorgeous saturday morning. brightly coloured and balloons in tow, the sunshine made for a fabulous mood, and tiny tots were loving building castles in the sand. can you believe that women as tiny as these have had 2 and 3 children?! i need their secret…

while i was internet-less for 2 weeks, the awesome little pink book did a feature on christy mundy’s beach trash the dress shoot. and now it’s in their latest mini-mag… i’m SO excited!!
