this gorgeous couple are mark and richelle ussher, arguably the most perfectly matched couple i have ever met. they compliment each other in all the best ways, whether it be in the duzi, or trying to improve each other’s english and afrikaans (respectively)… they are just so very much in love. to me, they’re proof of the term ‘soul mates’. so i am absolutely delighted to have been able to capture a few moments of their wedding day, especially focusing on the amazing decor – a lot of which was made by the groom (well… all the manly carpenter type wooden bits!).

these love birds celebrated their nuptials at granny mouse country house, in the ever beautiful natal midlands. even with a storm that hit right at the end of their ceremony, nothing could dampen the happy mood of the day! and just as the bridal party started having their creative shoot with their other photographer friend kelvin trautman, a rainbow was spotted, the clouds separated and rays of sunlight started emerging again. it was picture perfect, and i can’t wait to see the final product!

richycat and usssssher, i wish you so many moons of happiness and love together. i am so pleased i was able to witness your special day, and to be able to give you this little gift. happy honeymooning!

after a long week, it’s time to have some well deserved couch and telly time. but before i turn potato, here’s a sneak peak of yesterday’s beautiful bride, mrs christy mundy.

the wedding was at the magnificent lynton hall.

this precious little parcel was born on friday the 13th april 2012… lucky for some! she is the produce of my dear friends caley and marc. cals asked me to come and take a few snaps of sophie sheep’s beautiful nursery, along with a few shots of her at 1 month old! i cannot believe how much she’s grown since she arrived home from the hospital! congratulations to the rosie’s! she’s so super cute and i can’t wait to watch her grow!

for wall stickers as seen on sophie’s wall, contact sam from urban grace at samantha.c.delange@gmail.com – they have such a gorgeous range!

the yorks.

after shooting little gracie york’s newborn shoot, her beautiful mom and i set up a family shoot where we could include the men (and animals) in the family… gracie’s big brother reece is totally besotted with his little sister, as much as she’s the apple of her daddy’s eye! jules and mike, you have the most beautiful kids- which is not difficult given your genes! reece has grown into the sweetest little boy, and gracie has the biggest, cutest range of expressions i have ever seen on a little tot! thank you for inviting me into your stunning home for round 2! so happy to have been able to watch you all ‘monkey’ around and capture these special moments…

these photos were taken at the york’s home in prestondale, umhlanga.

please note the facial expressions… gracie is too flipping cute!

and my favourite shot of the day… (you have to click on this one to see clearly how unimpressed grace is with this shoot…)

this beautiful bunch of ladies are (the new) sarah lazarus, and her fabulous favourites, blair, bron, shannon, and her special mom, debbie. sarah came home from the u.s of a for her wedding this last weekend, and due to a close friend’s nuptials, i wasn’t able to shoot her wedding at the market in durban. so last week, her bridesmaids organised a surprise shoot with me as a celebration of her last week being an edmed. what a treat to meet these gorgeous girls! i really wish i could’ve been there to capture her special day and see her in her beautiful dress…

sarah, it was so wonderful meeting you. i wish you and your new hubby a lifetime of happiness together! and i cannot wait to see your official wedding photos by fiona clair.
